Established in 1936, Laguna Beach has that “old Florida” charm and a rich history including hosting the Coast Guard during World War II, who patrolled the beaches for German U-boats. Thankfully, no German U-boats were ever discovered in the Gulf of Mexico.
An undeveloped section of the beach that is 7/10 of a mile is forever a reserved beach, making this a favorite area to enjoy the sandy white beaches and the emerald waters of Panama City Beach. There are a number of public beach accesses for both locals and visitors to park and then head to the waves. A big draw for most people is the beaches are relatively quiet and not crowded most days.

Enjoy exploring, fishing, birdwatching, and kayaking at Camp Helen – located a few short minutes away from Laguna Beach. Go for a walk or bike ride at the nearby Conservation Park. Find treasures at one of the nearby local stores. The community is golf-cart friendly. It is only a short ride to grab some treats from Thomas’s Donuts & Snack Shop. Or you can shop for groceries and gifts at the Carousel Supermarket.
Laguna Beach is nestled in the perfect location between the 30A corridor and Pier Park. It is a short drive to endless fun. Both 30A and Pier Park offer a wide variety of restaurants, shopping, and activities for everyone to enjoy. Whether you would rather play endless games at Dave & Busters, enjoy a cocktail at Margaritaville, catch a movie at the Grand Theater, or eat lunch with the perfect view at Hook’d on the Pier, you will never be bored in Pier Park. If you would rather take a bike ride down 30A, there are more fun activities to enjoy. You can pick up a book for the beach at the Hidden Lantern in Rosemary Beach. Go grab brunch at The Perfect Pig. Explore all the shops in Seaside, and end the day with dinner at The Great Southern Café.
